A beautiful book written by Edgar Finley Shannon Jr.
Alfred Lord Tennyson (1809-1892) was a renowned British poet during the Victorian era. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest poets of the 19th century. Tennyson served as the Poet Laureate of the United Kingdom for a significant portion of his life, from 1850 until his death in 1892.
Some of Tennyson's most famous works include "The Charge of the Light Brigade," "Ulysses," "The Lady of Shalott," and "In Memoriam," which he wrote as a tribute to his close friend Arthur Hallam. His poetry often explored themes of nature, love, mortality, and the human condition. Tennyson's eloquent and evocative verses contributed to the literary and cultural landscape of his time and continue to be celebrated today.
